Also, as a service to the dealers and attendees at the show, below is a list of Longacre Endorsed™ eating establishments. I know the dealers like top shelf meals and booze, so I tried to select some of the nicer places. There are tons of less expensive restaurants in Stamford, CT, which is where most of the dealers are staying, if I am not mistaken:
Valbella One of Longacre's favorite restaurants. I have never tasted such amazing shrimp in a shrimp cocktail in my life. They are about as big as your hand, too, but still succulent.
Thomas Henkelmann at the Homestead Inn A wonderful eating establishment and a very exclusive Inn. Mr. and Mrs. Longacre have stayed in the Inn a few years ago, and dined in the restaurant.
Il Falco Il Falco in Stamford, which is a really nice Italian restaurant. Il Falco is somewhat small, but you get personal service and the traditional Italian food is outstanding.
Restaurant Jean Louis A spectacular eating establishment. If you're ever in Greenwich--and if you have the means-- I highly recommend stopping by. Tell Jean Louis I said hi.
Cobbs Mill Inn An outstanding restaurant, housed in an old mill, in a very picturesque location, complete with water fall and pond. A nice place to take the ladies. A little bit of a drive from Stamford/Greenwich (about 15 minutes).
Ocean 211 A great restaurant in downtown Stamford that focuses on seafood. Great wine list. Ask to eat upstairs. Minutes from the recommended Coinfest hotels.
Other: there are lots of other restaurants on Greenwich Avenue in Greenwich and shopping, including Tiffany's (say hi to Mrs. L. because she almost lives in that store).
Stamford has lots of restaurants in all price ranges, including lower Summer Street / Bank Street area which has lots of trendy resturants, pubs, and bars in a range of price.
There is even a classic diner in that area as well!
